The Youth Athletic Development Camp® is for young athletes and non-athletes. A professional who specializes in strength and conditioning trains them. Make sure to inquire regarding this unique opportunity.

When: Summer 2012

Where: St. Thomas Strength Athletics Gym, 1258 Talbot

Dates: Month of July. (Details will follow in the spring of 2012)

Time: 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Eligibility: Youth, girls and boys, ages from 10 - 13 involved in sports or not.

They will learn:
-About core strengthening
-About Strength training
-The basics of Olympic style weightlifting, the #1 for strength and conditioning
-Basics of Plyometric training for greater explosive power development
-New and Innovative Training Techniques
-And more

They will:
-Improve core strength and body strength
-Improve Balance, Agility, Strength, Speed -BASS®-
-Improve anaerobic and aerobic capacity
-Improve rotational strength
-Improve acceleration and deceleration capabilities
-And more

About the instructor:
Daniel Paré, is a certified speed and power specialist and a certified strength training specialist with over 40 years of experience. He is a strength and conditioning coach and he is the owner of St. Thomas Strength Athletics. He competes at provincial, national and international level in Olympic weightlifting and he represented Canada in 2002-2009 at the World’s Games in Australia. Daniel trains athletes from elementary to international caliber. Daniel runs weightlifting clinics and presented his new training concept “Groove Trainingâ”in Mississauga, on Thursday, March 20, 08 to other trainers and doctors. He also wrote for the St. Thomas Times Journal and for Explosivelyfit training news, a U.S. publication. Daniel authored the book, 5 reps to weight loss.

Cost: (Details will follow in the spring of 2012)

Prices for individuals are:

+ hst weekly 3 to 5 times a week

+ hst for the duration of the camp (4 weeks)


Prices for family of 2 kids are:

+ hst weekly 3 to 5 times a week

+ hst for the duration of the camp (4 weeks)
